The weather may be getting cold, but real estate in Columbus remains hot!
While we are seeing a little bit of the normal seasonal slow down in the Columbus area, the Central Ohio real estate market remained a Seller’s Market* in October.
There was a small price depreciation since September 2016, but prices are up compared to this time last year.

- Down 3.8% compared to the last year
Homes Closed in October 2016: 2314 units.
- Down 15.2% compared to the last month
- Up 2.6% compared to the last year
Homes Placed under Contract in October 2016: 2929 units.
- Up 14.4% compared to the last month
- Up 32.2% compared to the last year
*Buyer’s market: more than 6 months of inventory based on closed sales
Seller’s market: less than 3 months of inventory based on closed sales
Neutral market: 3 – 6 months of inventory based on closed sales
